Race where the “Big Guys” race!
The Rolex Series, Indy Car, and Motorcycles are just a few of motorsports major events held at Mid-Ohio Race Course. As venues for longer running events have become more and more difficult, RS Racing Systems decided to find a location that could be self-contained without having to compete with cars on the course. Ironic that our solution is a car only race course! Join us for a challenging race on a competitive course that stays on the 330 acres of Mid-Ohio.
History
This is the seventh year for RS Racing Systems and the Subway Challenge Series to present a fall half marathon. The first three years, “Stomp the Grapes” Half Marathon was held in Navarre, Ohio, at Perennial Vineyards. In 2009 it was moved to Hartville, Ohio, and the Maize Valley Winery. Unfortunately, lack of alternative traffic routes caused significant congestion on race day. At the conclusion of 2011 event we were told by leadership of the Hartville Market, Hartville, Kitchen, and Hartville Hardware we were not welcome back in that area. In addition, the trustees of Marlboro Township expressed no interest in supporting a 2012 event. We look forward to a safe closed course at Mid-Ohio Sports car course in 2012!
